Time and truth, it seems, are not without a sense of irony.

A mainstay of Donald J. Trump’s candidacy for president was his adamant insistence of Hillary Clinton’s wrongdoing; specifically regarding the alleged mishandling of classified, sensitive information as Secretary of State.

Throughout his campaign, his calls of “Crooked Hillary” and “Lock her up!” were a rally cry of his base which, ironically, still remains a key catalyst for its continued support.

“[Clinton] was willing to risk our foreign enemies reading her emails as long as the voting American public could not,” Trump said last July.

But if the reports surrounding the president’s egregious handling of intel with Russian ambassadors are even remotely true, then it would seem that Trump himself has effectively committed the worst for which he criticized the former First lady.

By all accounts, the president did not actually break any laws. However – according to now former FBI Director James Comey, who was recently and suspiciously fired by Trump – neither did Clinton.

But that has yet stop the Trump camp’s inept rhetoric.

Best case scenario: Trump’s sharing of highly classified info with Russian Foreign Minister  greatly threatened diplomatic relations with the country who provided it. Worst case? Informants, agents and allies are now rendered gravely endangered by Trump’s braggadocious running of the mouth.
